ILUSA.COM Searchable Database

The web portal on disability, Independent Living-USA. Com (www.ilusa.com) has created a searchable database for centers for independent living, state independent living councils (SILCs), and associations or coalitions for independent living centers.

The database is set up so users can search by virtually any field on the search form. In addition, all the forms have a field for the initials or acronym of the organization. This feature will make it easier for indiiduals with poor hand dexterity to search for the organization by typing fewer letters than the full name of the organizations.

Check the database for your organization’s information. Many organizations are missing current telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, web sites, and the initials. If you don’t find your organization, use the state’s postal abbreviation and search the entire state. For example, CA is for California, ME is for Maine, and so on. Please note, you will need a password to edit information about your organization or a satellite ofice. A password will be e-mailed to you upon request.
